L.F. Seymour of Farwell (Mich.) won the bid to construct a gravel road, located mostly in Ionia County and a bit of Kent County (Mich.). Seymour and Frank F. Rogers, the then State Highway Commissioner, signed the contract on Oct. 1, 1920. Seymour later sued for $10,663.21, his unpaid balance. He was eventually paid.
